Harvey Pekar was one of comics artist icon and who was the great writer of "American Splendor". A sad story struck the industry recently when his wife found him dead on their home at Cleveland Heights. He passed away at the age of 70 after a long-termed battle of lymphoma which is one of the commonly heard cancer nowadays. According to speculation on the other side, he was one of those survivor, a pretty confusing cause of death was still waited to surface soon.
He start his comics writing career way back in 1972 along with his friend from where they begin with an autobiography style of illustration, in the life of a working person in the office surrounded with files on a daily routine. That story can be compared with Harvey Pekar's life as a usual person which has been told with his own ideology as stated by few comments on the Internet.
