Currently, a new rumor came to surface on the Internet from GM. It's all about the position as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company as Edward Whitacre, Jr. is about to leave the firm and will be replace by Dan Akerson. This story earned a little criticisms from news sites although for now, there is no official statement from any representative of the giant auto-maker.
However, at these moment, Whitacre also stands as their chairman added with another role as a CEO and the upcoming new tough decision making is about to come by next month and probably took place the rest of his responsibility to run the entire business.
In terms of experience, Akerson has a good background in running a various firms but quite far from what he faced right now starting on the month of September.
